Tow-Away Recovery Vehicle
A Tow-Away Recovery truck (also called a wreck, a damaged vehicle truck, a salvage car truck or a collapsing truck) is a truck used to transport disabled, poorly parked, reserved or other vehicles. This may involve recovering a damaged vehicle in an accident, returning to a dredged surface in an accident or storm, or towing or moving the vehicle to a repair shop or elsewhere.
A tow truck is different from a road carrier that simultaneously transports new or multiple vehicles in routine transportation operations.

Unlike the Flatbed, the Tow-Away Recovery truck lifts your car by the drive wheels and then drags it. The Wheel Lift is fitted with a metal yoke and a hydraulic system to help lift your car either on the front or rear tires.
